Der Startschuss für die 24,2 km lange und 430 hm reiche Runde fällt am Marktplatz in Kastl und führt die Läufer zunächst in das Haintal ehe es den alten Ski-Berg hoch auf die Wacholderhängegeht. Belohnt mit einem Panoramablick auf die Klosterburg Kastl geht es weiter zum Rechenfelsam Jurasteig – den höchsten Punkt der Route.
Singletrails führen uns kurzweilig über das
Lauterachtal zurück nach Kastl. Dort endet die Runde mit einem knackigen Anstieg zur Klosterburg.
VERPFLEGUNGSSTELLEN EINARBEITEN
Die Kurzdistanzler haben es damit bereits geschafft. Die Langdistanzler dürfen ein zweites Mal auf die Runde. Geteiltes Leid ist halbes Leid? Definitiv! Bewältige die lange Distanz im Team. Hier wird nach der ersten Runde in der Wechselzone der Zeitchip an den Laufpartner übergeben.
Die Strecke für den Trailrun ist anspruchsvoll
und landschaftlich richtig schön. Es ist wirklich alles dabei. Die ca. 200 Treppenstufen verlangen einem am Ende nochmal alles ab. Die Kurzsdistanzler laufen die Runde einmal, die Langdistanzler zweimal. Das macht das Rennen kurzweilig und interessant für Zuschauer.
